The Florida Keys are an island group at the southernmost point of the United States on the East Coast.
Key Largo is the first key. Driving from mainland Florida to Key Largo, you'll see grasslands and open water relatively untouched by our modern civilization. Scuba diving is best here in the world famous John Pennecamp National Park, home of spectacular coral species - the only living coral reef in the United States. Deep sea fishing charters and fishing party boats are available for adventures on the ocean.
About 10 miles south is Islamorada, "Sport Fishing capital of the World". Smaller than Key Largo, Islamorada makes up for that in spirit. Diving on the Hump or exploring the wreck of the San Pedro, a Dutch ship sunk in 18 feet of water off Indian Key is a memorable experience you won't soon forget.Next stop, Marathon. It's called "the Heart of the Keys". This is the way it was in the Keys. With a number of fine restaurants, great hotels, and good ole Southern hospitality, Marathon can be your key to paradise. It's a small city, 14 miles long, with lots of friendly people.
On all of the keys - Key Largo, Islamorada, Marathon and Key West – comfort is a priority. It’s important to have a relaxing experience while in the Keys.
Plush accommodations like timeshares may be something to consider. A timeshare resale or rental can save you money, which is a good stress reliever. So check out a timeshare and head for the 7 mile Bridge!
Leaving Marathon, you have to travel the 7 mile Bridge, a fantastic trip over the water in your car with nothing below you except the bridge & the open air, and nothing on either side of you except miles & miles of beautiful ocean seas!
After the 7 mile Bridge continue on your way to Key West through to small towns of Conch Key, Saddlebunch Key, Boca Chica...... and Big Pine Key, largest town in the Lower Keys chain. Friendly people & a nice laid back atmosphere.
Nothing can stop you Now! You're on your way to Key West FL !! Fabled in song & story, Key West is the second oldest US city - second only to St. Augustine in northern Florida.
Finally, you've arrived at your Key West hotel. You get yourself settled & look around a bit. You're amazed - everything is here - fishing, diving, nightlife, shopping, history, and culture. Key West is the 2nd oldest city in the US.
No trip to Florida or the Keys is complete without a trip to Key West. It reminds me of a mini-Manhattan. Everything is here (maybe in miniature) that you might need & if it's not here, you don't really need it. Book your Key West Florida hotel Today!!
